Prayer for the anointing

Father God, I thank You for the anointing. I thank You for Your presence. I thank You for calling me. I thank You for Your power. I pray the spirit of revelation will rest upon me. I pray for the spirit of enlightenment, that I may see clearly what You are showing me. I pray that every man and woman called by Your name will pray over Your church Lord. I pray that the power of God would fall upon the uncompromisingly righteous. That an explosive and reckless anointing fall upon the midst of Your people Lord. In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

Beyond your faith

Read Acts 12:1-17 Prayer is taken too lightly nowadays. It seems that this same problem was evident in the Bible as well. In this story we find Simon Peter imprisoned and awaiting his public trial and execution (King Herod Agrippa planned to do Peter away in the same manner as Jesus Christ). But the people of the city prayed for him. This prayer didn't go unheard by God, who no doubt sent the angel to set Peter free. Peter thought he was dreaming, and unaware he was in the middle of another move of God. When he came to, he found himself a free man. What better time than this to show yourself to your fellow brothers in Christ, right? I love how the Bible says that the believers were gathered together in prayer when Peter arrives. Upon hearing news that Peter is there they call the servant girl who brought the news "out of her mind." Isn't funny how you can be praying for a move of God, and doubt its occurring? You see that same problem today, when someone would nonchalantly say "I'll pray for you," and whether they do or don't there's no real belief behind their words. When you say you'll pray for someone, be sure to take the time to do it, God will move beyond your faith.

The Currently Unsaved

Revelation 21:4 AMP God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more, neither shall there be anguish (sorrow and mourning) nor grief nor pain any more, for the old conditions and the former order of things have passed away. If some of our loved ones are not in heaven, we will be in 100 percent complete agreement that they do not belong there and that they are condemned by their own refusal to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior (John 3:16; 14:6). It is hard to understand this, but we will not be saddened by the lack of their presence. Our focus should not be on how we can enjoy heaven without all of our loved ones there, but on how we can point our loved ones to faith in Christ so that they will be there.

Are you a growing Christian?

Are you growing? Here are some ways you can tell. What do you think about? One of the first signs that you are growing in Christ is that you think about what Jesus has done on your behalf. You reflect upon it and you praise Him for it. Your sins are forgiven and you’re on your way to heaven. What a glorious thought! What are you doing with your life? You’re saved, but you don’t stop there. You develop muscles and become a strong warrior to the glory of God. You become an active member of the Lord’s army. Let me ask you: Is the devil afraid of you? Are you an overcomer or are you overcome? If you are saved and still sitting on the sidelines, shame on you! Indeed, shame on all of us if we’re not exhorting and encouraging one another to lay down our lives to get into active service for our Lord! Are you evangelizing and discipling others? A father is one who has children. Do you have any spiritual children? This is a mark of a growing Christian—that you are multiplying yourself (what God did in you) by sharing it with others. When you appear before the throne of God, will you be standing there alone? Or will you be standing with children you have “parented” in Christ? Do you know why we have so many flabby Christians? They come down the aisle of the church, get baptized, then come Sunday after Sunday and just sit, soak, and sour. They do not exercise. They don’t have daily quiet times; they’re not sharing Christ in their communities and neighborhoods; they’re not ministering in their church.

The Wilderness

Deuteronomy 2:7 NLT "For the Lord your God has blessed you in everything you have done. He has watched your every step through this great wilderness. During these forty years, the Lord your God has been with you, and you have lacked nothing."' You are here to fulfill the plan of God. He is not here to fulfill your plan. The wilderness is only a place of death for unbelievers. It's not a place of desolation is a place of the miraculous. Where did God give them miracle food, water, clothes that didn't wear out? Some people only look at the bad, and that's all they see. But you know what, they're still here. In your wilderness is where God will bless you. Its where He answers prayer. When we are blessed, we don't even notice it. When we were broke we would go to church all of the time. But when we have money we have to pray about what to give? In the wilderness God provides for you. Instead of complaining you should be praising God for the blessings. God says you lack nothing. Get in your mind that you are blessed. Miracles happen to believers. Be washed, cleansed and satisfied in where God has you right now because God has more in store.

Spiritual Outpouring

Joel 2:28-29, 32 ESV "And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions. Even on the male and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit. And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be those who escape, as the Lord has said, and among the survivors shall be those whom the Lord calls." To all who call upon the Name of the Lord. Who put His ways before their own. Who loves Him just for loving them. Who wish to not only receive from His hand but to draw near to His face. Who loves what He loves, and hates what He hates. Who give themselves away so He can use them. Expect His Spirit to be poured out on you. Halellujah!

If only God can judge you...

What exactly do you expect to hear from Him? Be sure your life lines up with what the Bible says about salvation. I pray that it does.
